The Parsons Road to Fame!!!!

This past school year has flown by again, but not without the Parsons boys "roundin' up" memories for us to "swing" through our thoughts in years to come. Kaleb had an awesome year in kindergarten and had the best teacher I think that has taught either of my children thus far: Linda Johnson. Mrs. J works hard in every area to make the kids learn, but have fun while doing it. The kids put on a rodeo in March that made the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas look boring!! The kids rode horses, rode bucking bulls, raced around barrels, and even had a world famous tractor pull! Kaleb was picked to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the Grand Opening and he did awesome! He rode a bucking bull and raced in the tractor pull with a win over his competitor Cowboy Jack! I asked Kaleb on the last day of school if he was going to miss kindergarten and he said "yes". I was glad to hear that because I knew Mrs. J had really accomplished what she set out to do and that is to make the kids love learning!!!

Koby had an awesome 4th grade year as well. The highlight for Koby was when the 4th and 5th graders performed "The Jungle Book" musical. It was great to watch and Koby played his part well. You see Koby tried out for the main part, but did not make it. I asked Koby what he was going to be since he didn't make the part and he at first told me a rock. I must have had a puzzled look on my face because he went on to say that Mrs. Patty had to come up with more parts and the rocks was one of those extras. I could not help but giggle thinking about Koby being a rock. He told me that the rocks would get to dance! Well as time went by Koby had his part changed and boy did Mrs. Patty hit the nail on the head with this one! He was made a monkey! We had a choice of making his costume or not. Of course he chose to have his uncrafty mother make him his costume! He did look good I have to say, but I am a little biased when it comes to my little monkeys!!!!!

The Whole Gang!

I don't know if you have ever tried to take a family picture, but sometimes it is near impossible to get everyone dressed, looking at the camera, and in a "happy" mood for that 1 good shot. Well while looking at facebook today, I viewed Courtney's photos from the recent wedding and saw an amazing site: A pretty good picture of the whole Parsons gang. The funny thing is it was one of those pictures where you have only a few seconds to get and just pray the shot is good when the flash goes off. We keep saying we need to get together and have professionals done as a whole family, but maybe we should not plan as much and just smile when only a second is at hand!

Busy Saturday.....Summer-time is here!!!!

Well today was another busy Saturday! We started off our morning bright and early so we could attend a very special couples marriage ceremony: Kris and Rebecca Redus. The bright and early part was because we traveled over 3 hours for the wedding. The boys were so excited to go to the wedding because they had new outfits to wear that included a tie!!! Koby was especially excited about the tie, but really wanted to go all out with a full suit! I persuaded him that summer in Texas is hot and he better try the tie first to see if "dressing up" is as fun as it looks. On our way to the reception, Koby started complaining of his tie "choking" him! The wedding was beautiful and God's blessings were evident as everyone gathered to witness this special day! Of course the day would not have been complete if we had not taken a picture with the beautiful bride, so the boys posed with Becca to capture the moment of being "dressed up" for her special day! We love you Becca and wish you and Kris many years to come to endless love and happiness! My motto: Live. Laugh. Love--Always!!!!
