Well I have proven I am an aweful blogger!!! Many things have happened since I blogged last time in June!!! The summer has come and gone and Fall is on its way!! The boys have started back to school and are doing great so far. Koby leaves next week on his 1st ever school trip that will last 3 days. I don't know how he is going to do away from home. I heard most of the boys do not shower for 3 days. Unfortunately, if I didnt remind him, he would go weeks! I know he will not break the tradition of not showering while gone, but I do hope he brushes his teeth at least!
The picture above is the End of Summer--Back to school sleepover event! All I remember from this event, is I know that 6 kids is not what is in the stars for me!!! I love all of them, but GOD only gave me patience for 2, and sometimes that runs very thin!!!
This week I have signed up for the Biggest Loser. I have 15 pounds to loose to meet my overall goal of a total of 55 lbs. As of today, I have lost 40 pounds since Dec. 2009. I know it won't be easy, but I am motivated to reach this goal. I have never wanted something so bad. You see I have been overweight my entire life (except when I was young and in love)and desire to be at a normal weight again and be healthy. I don't know why I let myself go after having kids, but let me tell you the weight doesnt come off near as fast as it appeared. My friend from work and 2 ladies I do not know have formed a team to see just how much we can loose in 8 weeks. Our team name is "Smore or Less." I know what does the smore mean? Well absolutely nothing to me, but one of the ladies that is on the team said that was the name of their ladies group at church, so we took it and added or less. We are all hoping for the less part at the end!
I guess the major event of the summer was the completion of our house! We worked on it a year and half and basically gutted and remodeled the entire house. I don't think Dustin ever thought he would be capable of the feats we faced, but we did and now are enjoying the fruit of our labor: a nice comfortable remodeled home! I have learned so much these past few years about patience and trust and I thank GOD that we have times in our lives like these to learn and be molded into his image.
Well I guess I better wrap this up and hope I haven't bored everyone to death with my rambling! I hope my next blog will not take me 3 months to post!!!!
